Chilean Mining Magazine highlights the contribution of SMI-ICE-Chile

In its May edition, this specialized publication features a report on the contributions of international centers of excellence to the sustainability of Chilean mining, highlighting the work of SMI-ICE-Chile as an R&D hub of the Sustainable Minerals Institute at The University of Queensland (Australia).

In the interview, Doug Aitken, Executive Director of SMI-ICE-Chile, emphasized the Center’s work in water resource management, tailings storage facilities, mine closure, and the social performance of mining.

The article in Revista Minería Chilena also highlights the contributions of the VTT Finland (Finland) and Fraunhofer Chile (Germany) centers.
