Line of research: Social Performance and Resource Governance

Mónica is a social worker from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and a master’s degree in Participation and Local Policies from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He also has a diploma in Participation and Sustainable Development, Methodologies for Local and Community Development, from the same university.

His work has focused on issues of social policies, interventions in vulnerable contexts, citizen participation and sustainability.

For more than 10 years, he carried out research and teaching at the Alberto Hurtado University. In the field of consulting, he has collaborated with public organizations such as the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Environment, subsecretary’s office of Tourism, where she developed studies, plans and strategies that incorporate participatory methodologies for multi-stakeholder work.

In the private sphere, her experience in carrying out sustainability diagnoses stands out, as well as in the development, implementation and evaluation of community relations strategies and stakeholder mapping for the mining, energy and food sectors.

In addition, she has participated in the human rights due diligence evaluation within the framework of the certification process of the IRMA Standard in Responsible Mining.
