Line of Research: Responsible Production and Mine Process Optimisation

Yendery is a Chemical Civil Engineer from the Universidad Católica del Norte, with a PhD in Mineral Process Engineering from the University of Antofagasta and a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management from Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology, Finland.

With extensive experience in the formulation and development of applied research projects, she has worked as a postdoctoral researcher in tailings management at the Advanced Mining Technology Center (AMTC) of the University of Chile, at the University of Antofagasta and at the Universidad Católica del Norte.

Her areas of specialization include mathematical modeling of water and energy resources for mining, technological, economic and environmental management in mining processes with a focus on the circular economy, and sustainable management of mining tailings. Her areas of interest are sustainable management of mining waste, water and energy management, and the circular economy in the mining industry.
