Línea de Investigación: Producción responsable y optimización de los procesos mineros.

Doug es Ingeniero Civil y en Medio Ambiente. Obtuvo su grado de Doctor en la Universidad de Edimburgo, Reino Unido. Dentro de sus áreas de especialización, se encuentran: rutas bioenergéticas sostenibles, análisis de ciclo de vida, gestión de recursos hídricos, análisis de riesgos y oportunidades, y desarrollo de estrategias. Durante su Doctorado, adquirió experiencia académica en el diseño y análisis de sistemas de generación de bioenergía sostenibles. Realizó su Postdoctorado en gestión de sostenibilidad y economía hídrica en la industria minera, lo cual fue publicado en prestigiosas revistas científicas. Su experiencia profesional se ha basado principalmente en el desarrollo y manejo de proyectos de investigación industriales interdisciplinarios y colaborativos que generan soluciones para la sostenibilidad en el largo plazo.
