Line of research: Social Performance and Resource Governance
Daniela has an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Universidad de Concepción. At the start of her career, Daniela worked for SQM on metallurgical processes and optimization of flotation additives in potassium mining. After that, she continued her career in mining in project management for BHP. She later completed a Master of Environmental Management at The University of Queensland, Australia, where she gained job experience in aluminium mining at Rio Tinto. Upon her return to Chile, she joined Anglo American to specialize in development and social performance. Currently, she works as a researcher at SMI-ICE-Chile in community engagement and project development with Indigenous Communities.
