Line of research: Environmental Rehabilitation and Ecosystem Dynamics
Daniela has an undergraduate degree in forestry sciences from Universidad de Chile and more than 10 years’ experience in project management in environmental and sustainable development issues. She has participated in both the conceptualization of ideas and in leadership roles to implement these projects for governmental organizations and the private sector.
Throughout her career, she has focused mainly on ecosystem impact assessment as part of project feasibility studies, characterization of biotic components and assessments of potential effects of mining and industrial activities on territories, integrating the dimensions of sustainable development: environmental, social and economic. In addition, she has experience with working groups and workshops for small-scale farming and forestry outfits on sustainable development, governance and micro-finance.
