Carolina has an undergraduate degree in journalism from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC Chile) with vast experience and expertise in print media, corporate communication and scientific publications. She has held numerous executive and editorial roles, including director of institutional communications for PUC Chile (2006-2010); director of Caras Magazine (2012-2015); Communications Manager for SQM (2015-2019); Head of Communications for the Pan American Games Santiago 2023 (2019-2020); communications consultant and advisor to companies and organizations such as the PUC spin-off, Ingeniería SIRVE S.A. (2010-2012), the unicorn Betterfly (2020-2021) and more recently the German Agency for International Cooperation, GIZ (2021-2024).

Carolina has also built a career in creative writing, as editor and author of several books and publications, as a contributor/editor for Caras Magazine; editor of the PUC academic publication, «Cuadernos de Información» (2006), columnist in El Mercurio’s Revista Sábado (1999-2000) and the newspaper La Tercera (2010); co-author of the books: «Los Secretos de la Entrevista en Chile» (1999); «Marcelo Ríos: en la gloria y el revés»; and editor of the titles «La reinvención de la industria del salitre» (in 2018 for SQM), and «Historia de un milagro. Cartas a Pedro» (2021); and author of commissioned family and personal biographies (2020-2024).
