The project, carried out by the APPCo team at the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre (JKMRC), involved the remote installation of the Mill Filling Inference Tool (Mill FIT) virtual sensor. This reduced mill downtime and maintenance times by providing real-time prediction of the SAGm mill’s fill level and ore behavior within it.
