The project’s objective is to validate the use of microencapsulation technology on a pilot scale to maintain water quality in a climate-challenged context. This initiative aims to strengthen the resilience of both the mining industry and local communities, prioritizing the prevention of acid rock drainage (ARD). Validating this innovative technology will enable researchers to assess its effectiveness and practical applicability, which will ensure the continued protection of water sources and contribute to the sustainable development of affected communities.
