Javier is a Geologist from Universidad Mayor, Chile. He has experience in the iron industry as he did his internship at CAP Minería and his thesis project on the geometallurgy of cobalt in an Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) deposit, in the north of Chile. He presented his thesis in the First International Cobalt Workshop Chile and as a poster presentation at the annual conference Geomet, both in 2019 in Chile.

He currently works as a Research Geologist, part of the Productivity team, at SMI-ICE-Chile.
