This study conducts a preliminary health risk assessment of arsenic in drinking water. Its general objective is to assess the quality of drinking water, specifically arsenic content, and conduct a preliminary analysis of the risks and possible effects on human health from water consumption. The recommendations and regulatory framework of the Joint FAO/WHO Committee on Food Additives (JECFA 2010) and the U.S. EPA were used.

The study is carried out in collaboration with Prof. Jack C. Ng of the Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences, The University of Queensland(Australia).
