The study’s main objective was to assess the impact of a sulfuric acid spill on the marine environment by identifying and analysing the spill’s potential effects on water quality, sediments and marine biota. Through a comprehensive analysis, it seeks to provide a detailed understanding of the environmental consequences of such incidents. In addition, the study offers practical and effective recommendations to minimize environmental impacts in case of future spills, thus helping protect and conserve the marine ecosystem.
