This study analyses and assesses the content of the agreement between Albemarle, the Council of Atacameño Peoples (CPA) and 18 Atacameño communities, its implementation and the impacts on the communities in relation to the agreement and international experiences. This is achieved through a rigorous analysis of the agreement’s content based on SMI’s expert knowledge and prior experience, applying an ad-hoc methodology for situations without a baseline. Participatory methods are used to quantify implementation of the agreement with global indicators, validated in more than 20 cases abroad.
